When it comes to brands we love, PAIGE is at the top of the list. Aside from being a reliable source for on-trend style, their philanthropic efforts and unique brand philosophy keep us coming back for more. Recently we sat down with founder and creative director Paige Adams-Geller, the only female founder in the denim industry today. We got an inside look at the brand, from its inspiring origins to its exciting future.
What inspired you to create PAIGE?
After years of being a successful fit model, I spoke to a life coach about my next step. I knew I wanted to find my purpose and passion in life—to share my creativity, empower others, and make a difference.
What made you choose to start a denim company?
I love denim! I wear it everyday and it's truly the foundation of everyone’s wardrobe. I also felt there was a void in the marketplace at that time. The market was saturated by all male designers and owners. I saw my opportunity to showcase denim from a fresh female perspective.

How has your female perspective affected the way you run your business?
I choose to work with people who are not only talented, but [whom] I feel emotionally connected to. Having that connection helps in all aspects of the business. I enjoy being around positive energy, and I think that positivity helps empower others.
When did you branch into lifestyle product?
We began five years ago, and since then it's been one step at a time. Plaid shirts were first, and it took off from there. We now have everything from dresses to leather jackets. We're currently seeing the same expansion on the men's side with shirts, outerwear, and non-denim bottoms. Our goal is to offer a complete look, head-to-toe.
What inspired your most recent women’s collection?
There are two main themes: "Soft Tropics" is soft, airy, and feminine, with a modern feel. "Hot in the City" is bold, carefree, and sexy, with plenty of ‘80s inspiration.
And the men's collection?
Our "Beach House" theme features soft muted tones, vintage-inspired denim, and lightweight shirting. "Sun Down" features vibrant blue jeans and a laid-back color palette.
What are your favorite summer denim styles for men and women?
For women, the Nellie Culotte. It’s so fresh and fun for summer. For men, I’m loving super light washes.
How about your favorite non-denim summer style?
My favorite piece for women is the Sahar Dress in our Navy Orchid Print. For men, I love the Scout Jacket in Vintage Dusty Rose.
Which denim style do you wish would come back?
I would love the Lou Lou Tulip Flare to make a comeback—she has a cult following and I love her!
Lastly, what career advice would you give your younger self?
Problems come along every day, so it's best not to dwell on them. If one door closes, another one usually opens. You can’t be afraid to ask for help, because you can't do this alone. Finally, you're not expected to know everything!
