How to Layer Clothes for Spring
There’s no debating the fact that your workout gear takes more of a beating than anything else in your wardrobe. Which is why it’s great to keep your supply refreshed. (Not to mention, there’s no better motivation to hit the gym than a sharp new pair of cross-trainers.)
Not sure whether to toss some things or keep them in rotation? Here are a few tricks for figuring it out.
Athletic shoes are kinda like avocados—one day they’re too fresh to use, and seemingly the next they’re mushed past their prime. To determine if you need a new pair, simply set your shoes on a tabletop. If they’re noticeably uneven to the surface, it’s time to replace them.
We wouldn’t normally say this, but 100% cotton is not your friend—at least when it comes to workouts. Look for poly-blend performance fabrics that wick moisture away from your body. Then, sweat can evaporate on skin’s surface, keeping you cool during your workout.
We understand, brand loyalty is real. And when we’re talking clothes you’re going to move, sweat, run, jump, free throw, and sun salute in, it’s important to choose wisely. Don’t skip the fitting room! Try everything on to make sure it fits your body the way you need it to.
