How to Layer Clothes for Spring
Maybe it’s the nostalgia for back-to-school shopping, but to us, there’s nothing like those first crisp days of fall to spark a little wardrobe refresh. Need some seasonal style inspiration? Scroll on to see three trends we’ll be wearing until winter (and possibly beyond).
If you’ve gotten into the whole cuffing-your-pants thing, selvedge denim is a must. The tailored, self-facing edges (as opposed to the unfinished flaps inside most pant legs) not only prevent denim from fraying, but they create a much more polished effect when cuffed. Go ahead, give ‘em a try.
Just because ball caps are sporty doesn’t mean they should be relegated to sporting events. Embrace an all-purpose style with little to no branding that can be worn with more sophisticated pieces, like blazers and topcoats. It’s a look that’s both modern and totally classic all at the same time.
You might be tempted to take a break from florals once the warm weather turns, but you don’t have to. Instead, introduce a moodier version to the mix. Think darker hues or softer contrasts, on everything from oxford shirts to outerwear. The pattern will pop against your more monochromatic fall basics.
